Here are some of my favorite resources that focus on endometriosis:
- Nancy's Nook - START WITH THIS ONE! - Our purpose is to educate patients, practitioners, and their loved ones about endometriosis with evidence based information and resources. Our members include endometriosis patients as well as physicians, other healthcare practitioners, husbands, partners, parents, and friends.
- Endometriosis Research Center's Diet & Nutrition Sub-Group - The Endometriosis Research Center’s Diet & Nutrition group was designed to facilitate targeted discussions about food/supplemental intervention for the management of endometriosis.
- The Endometriosis Summit: Patient & Practitioner Town Meeting - Our vision is a town meeting for practitioners, surgeons, and patients of endometriosis to discuss enhancing care, and future directions for endometriosis. This also has some great live Facebook events on endometriosis.
- Endometriosis on The Mighty - The Mighty is a site where people share their personal experiences with disability, disease and mental illness. On this page, we feature stories from our community of contributors living with endometriosis.
- Endo Warriors - Endo Warriors is a support organization for people living with endometriosis, a leading cause of pelvic pain and infertility. Through this group we exchange ideas, current research, and give support to those in need.
- Endo What? - Endo What? is a documentary educational film about endometriosis as well as a community of patient advocates, caregivers, researchers and healthcare practitioner allies.
- The Endometriosis Foundation of America - The Endometriosis Foundation of America (EFA) is a 501(c)3, tax-exempt, tax-deductible charity focused on fighting against the devastating effects of a disease that is the leading cause of pelvic pain and infertility in women.
- Endopaedia - Dr. David Redwine headed the world-renowned and award-winning Oregon Institute of Endometriosis at St. Charles Medical Center, Bend, Oregon, treating thousands of women with endometriosis from all across the US, Canada, and beyond. Nancy Peterson, from Nancy's Nook, is a strong advocate of his work and findings.
- Pelvic Rehab - A great resource that lets you search by your location to find skilled pelvic rehabilitation practitioners. This is how I found my Pelvic Floor Physical Therapists before and after my excision surgery and it made a huge difference. I highly recommend looking into this route if your healthcare team suggests trying pelvic floor physical therapy.
